- If you like the way this design looks, you can put it on something other than a piece of paper. Keep reading to see how we switch up the supplies to put it on a tote bag!
DIY Firework Art
PrintSupplies Needed
- Red and blue craft paint (or whatever color you want your fireworks to be)
- Plastic bendy drinking straws (or pipe cleaners)
- White printer paper
- Scotch tape
Directions
1
Tape together about six drinking straws with the bendy ends facing outward.
2
Dip the bendy ends in paint, and “stamp” down on paper. You may have to use your other hand to push each straw all the way down. Do this multiple times overlapping fireworks on the paper.
3
Next, do the same process while switching colors and going over the same fireworks you stamped with the first color.
4
Set aside, and let the paint dry. Enjoy your new artwork!
Take this design to the next level!
My daughter loved this easy firework art idea so much that we ended up painting fireworks using acrylic paint on a plain cotton canvas bag. It turned out to be a cute and colorful way to embellish a bag that she can use for summer camp or a trip to the library!
You can also have your kids create their own firework art on white T-shirts if they want something festive to wear for the 4th of July! No matter what you decide, it’s the perfect design to showcase this summer. 🎇
